Мариета Ботева е професор във ВТУ „Св. Св. Кирил и Методий”, преподава в него от 1982 г. Мариета Ботева води лекционни курсове по реторика, публична комуникация и аргументация в специалностите „Философия“, „Политология“, „Психология“ и „Право“. Научните й интереси са в областите история на реториката, аргументация, политическа реторика и дебати. Тя придобива научната степен доктор през 1988 г. и е доктор на науките по философия (Професионално направление 2.3. Философия (Реторическа аргументация) от 2012 г. Тя завършва специализация по Словесно-изпълнителско изкуство в СУ „Св. Климент Охридски” (1982). Мариета Ботева има административен и управленски опит като ръководител на катедра „Политология, социология и културология“ (2000-2002). Автор е на статии и на монографии, сред които: „Речник по реторика. 150 аргумента за оратора“ (2003, 2008), „Политическата аргументация в реторическите дискурси“ (2013), „Диалогът от Сократ до днес” (1999), „Реториката през Българското възраждане“ (2001), „Ръководството за писане на речи“ (2013) и други. Prof. Marieta Boteva, Doc. Hab.

Marieta Boteva is a professor at „St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo”. Boteva teaches rhetoric, public communication, argumentation and debates to students of philosophy, political sciences, psychology and law. Her research interests are in the fields of history of rhetoric, argumentation, political communication, and debates. She holds an MA in Bulgarian philology and history, and a PhD in rhetoric (1988). Marieta Boteva finished a post-graduate course in speech skills and speech arts at Sofia University „St. Kliment Ohridski“ (1982). Marietta Boteva earned a PhD in rhetoric (1988) and a Doc. Hab. in philosophy (rhetorical argumentation) (2012). She has administrative experience as the head of the Department of Political science, sociology and cultural studies (2000-2002). She participated in the initial program accreditation of the specialty of Political Science and the MA program of Rhetoric at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. She is the author of articles and monographs, including “Dictionary of rhetoric. 150 arguments” (2003, 2008), “Political argumentation in rhetorical discourses” (2013), “The dialogue from Socrates to the present day” (1999), “Rhetoric during the Bulgarian Renaissance” (2001), “How to write speeches? Handbook” (2013) and others.
